This is the first draft of Stephen King's Maximum Overdrive! King used the title of his short story "Trucks", that this screenplay was based upon. Numerous scenes are featured in this relic of cult horror film history that were either omitted/or altered for budgetory constraints, too over-the-top or too grizzly, or just would have dragged this film on for too long. Certain characters were supposed to survive as well (note: the first Trucker who was hailed by bullets from the possessed-gun jeep) and Leon Rippy's character "Brad" (the one who stole the ring from the dead girl in her car at the end).
