Les Miserables, Trousers & Neckerchief from Final Scene
original movie costume
Javert’s (Russel Crowe) trousers and neckerchief from Tom Hooper’s 2012 musical adaptation Les Misérables. In 19th-century France, Jean Valjean (Hugh Jackman), who for decades has been hunted by the ruthless policeman Javert after breaking parole, agrees to care for a factory worker's daughter. The decision changes their lives forever.
Javert wore his trousers and neckerchief in his final act on the bridge before he fell to his death. The trousers are wool with plastic buttons and a metal zip, they are black and feature a reflective white stripe along the edges and leather foot staps at the bottom. The neckerchief is black cotton and is worn under his jacket. The items come with a production wardrobe tag showing scene references and the trousers have a costumier’s label. The trousers and neckerchief show creases throughout, they remain in an otherwise excellent condition.
