Developed in the late 2370s, this tricorder design represents an abrupt change from the immediately preceding Mark IX/X, severely scaling down and inverting the flip-open door, while converting to a large touchscreen interface, resulting in a thinner device profile.  Both science and medical functions are fully supported by the unit.  Although sometimes referred to as the Mark XI, this tricorder design has no designation on its exterior, and is never given a specific make or model in the movie (or in the Star Trek Elite Force II video game, where it also appears.)

Hero resin replica, with medical graphic, rubberized grips, and flip-open scanner bar.  Opening the scanner bar activates multiple electronic features including: four columns of cycling white, red, and blue microLEDs behind the graphic; backlighting of revealed controls under the bar; cycling white LEDs along the edge of the open scanhead; and scanning audio clip.
