Super Mario Bros., Thwomp Stomper Boots

These are a complete pair of foam rubber Stomper Boots worn by Bob Hoskins & John Leguizamo towards the climax of the film. They were made out of foam rubber due to some scenes that required the actors to run in them. The clasped wire around the ankle braces, along with velcro on the inside, were meant to keep the braces closed as the actors ran in them.

As most of the Stomper Boots were destroyed after filming wrapped, it is very fortunate that these boots survived production and are in excellent condition.
