One of three Roman gods of the doorway, Limentinus was mocked by later Christian commentators for being a "little god". This threshold plank, inscribed with Roman text, instantly opens a passageway when placed against the base of a wall. The resulting downfall of stone or other building material, however, can injure the unwary, as Steve and Claudia nearly discover in fourth season episode Endless Wonder.

36" (91 cm) inscribed simulated stained wood hard resin board. Inscription reads "Per hoc ostium cum ius praecedentibus omnes intrare", meaning "All to enter by this door with the right of proceeding". Variegation in staining pattern screen matches to a closeup of the artifact lying on the ground.
