The Addams Family, Thing's Wrist Appliance

This is a Thing wrist appliance worn in the 1991 comedy The Addams Family. Throughout the film, Thing, the popular character who is only a hand, can be seen racing around the family mansion performing all kinds of duties. This piece was worn by a hand performer to give the impression that the wrist was curved upward and stopped at that point.
The appliance is made from foam latex and is painted with a light skin tone to match the hand in the film. The appliance itself measures approximately 2” x 2.5” (5cm x 6cm) and remains in good condition.
