Top Hat, Tall pierced column set piece
original set dressing / pieces
A tall pierced Italian carved column seen in the luxury suite of the first star pairing of Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers. Now painted green for later uses such as in THE UNTOUCHABLES (1959). It is from the 2003 Paramount sale.
Also used as a prop in a moody Ernest Bachrach portrait of Anne Shirley done in the same period, and later with one of Joan Fountaine.
