This is a full-scale prop-replica of a TOS Type-II Phaser that I built from a Roddenberry kit. The phaser is cast resin with metal parts. I added electronics for light and sound. Instead of my usual high-intensity LED for the phaser beam, I installed a red laser in the P-II. The phaser looks great and can put a bright red dot on a target over fifty feet away (I haven't tried it at longer ranges but I'm sure the laser carries further than 50 feet). The P-I unit also has light and sound, but the beam is from an LED.
