This is a full-scale  prop-replica of the TOS Type-I Phaser.  I built this replica from a Roddenberry kit and added my own electronics to provide an accurate phaser sound and bright blue 'phaser beam'.  The replica is cast resin with metal deflector strips (side rails), a metal rotating thumb wheel, and a brass beam emitter.  I produced a new, more detailed, power read-out in Photoshop.  This replica features a pressed metal foil electron aspirator grid (that shiny square part on  top) in place of the usual heavy cast metal part that comes with the Rodd.com kit.
