Star Trek: The Original Series, TOS Desktop Communicator / Intercom

made from scratch set dressing / pieces

This is a full-scale replica built completely from scratch.  I'm not sure how precise it is, since I used only one photo as reference and no specs for the dimensions, but it looks pretty darn close to the originals on-screen.   It's made of heavy gauge styrene sheet and acrylc.  All parts were cut & assembled by hand.

The replica features a lightup 'indicator' panel and "trek voices".   The color is basically correct, but is a shade or two darker than the on-screen originals.  I built a truly "limited edition" - there's one proto-type and two 'final versions', that's it, I'm not building any others (even if it was a fun project).....
