The Blob, THE BLOB Form #1 (Nylon Version)

This is one of the three forms of the The Blob in the 1988 remake of The Blob. This particular version of the blob is a pink, silky looking bag with veins and a skin like appearance. This was used in many of the scenes where the blob was covering a large area like inside the movie theatre and the telephone booth. These were all were shot as miniatures using these bags. The bags were filled with a liguid called methasil (a thickining agent) and then sewn closed. The methasil would soak through the bag to give it a slimy and wet appearance.
This item comes with a Letter of authenticity from Robert Devine who was the special effects supervisor for the film, he also worked on many other films such as Tropic Thunder, You Dont Mess with the Zohan, Terminator 3, Godzilla 1988, Titanic, Face/Off, Mars Attacks and countless others.
