Stargate SG-1, TDTDE DEVICE

This ‘hero’ working alien device was used in the season 5 episode titled ‘Between Two Fires’. The device is
carried by all Tollans and it contains the medical data/history specific to that person. Clearly seen on
screen when Narim demonstrates his ‘personal’ medical scanner to SG-1, the prop has been designed to
slide open and light up. Oval in shape and hand painted in silver and grey, the hand-held scanner
measures 6" x 3 ¼" x 1" and has a protruding ‘disc’ at the front end. This working unit slides open and a
blue, yellow and black acrylic faceplate is revealed. The 4x9 volt power supply has four labeled switches –
Power, Lightsheet, LED backlight and ‘All on/chase’. When the power is on, any or all of the other
switches will light and/or power various aspects of this outstanding prop. The ‘Lightsheet’ switch
illuminates the faceplate which glows blue and green; the ‘LED backlight’ switch lights a series of small
‘pin’ lights in the sliding section of the prop; and the ‘All on/chase’ switch illuminates lights in the lower
half of the device which, when activated by a small switch at the back of the prop, ‘chase’ each other.
