In third season bottle episode You Don't Know Jack, the regular cast of characters record their memories of the town for the Eureka Time Capsule Project, using these ingenious wireless devices that capture remembered people and events through via a direct optic neurosensory interface.  Problems arise when Fargo decides to sneak a peak at other people's memories of him, damaging the 'story nest' and causing widespread retrograde amnesia.

Twelve devices, each consisting of a translucent plastic dome, two-layer orange filter, and metal base.  Six are equipped for illumination, activated by a pushbutton on the base.  Three have an additional contact switch on the base which toggles between constant-on and pulsating illumination.  Included is a foam-lined aluminum briefcase, with barcodes below each device slot, as also seen onscreen.
