This is a movie accurate Grappling Hook as seen in ANH, worn by the famous 2 Stormtroopers as they made their way into the Millennium Falcon to perform an inspection, and then by both Luke Skywalker and Han Solo, after they overtook the 2 Stormtroopers on the Falcon.
Stormtroopers wear either the Thermal Detonator or the Grappling Hook and CommLink as accessories on their Belt.
This Grappling Hook is made of strong plastic resin. The resin is tinted dark black during the manufacturing process, which means that there is **no paint** on this Stormtrooper Belt Accessory, like other props, that can run off or worst, rub off on your suit. The Grappling Hook Case is made out of very strong HIPS and is fully enclosed.
The Grappling Hook is attached to a working retractable cord, which extends 7 ft!. The Blades of the hook fully expand and retract. There is a Spring in the Grappling Hook, but the hook is not "spring loaded". The Spring is for show only and is sized for a collapsed Hook. See Pictures. The Hook case does not contain clips to attach to your Stormtrooper belt. You will need to attach it to your belt using either rivets or appropriately attached clips. And, I have to mention that the Hook is also not meant to be used (.. as in the movie to swing across a bridge..). It's for display purposes only. The Grappling Hook Case is 7 1/2 inches long and 4 1/2 inches tall.
