A prop scanner believed to have appeared in episodes of Star Trek: The Next Generation. The item is made from molded plastic with two readouts. It features multiple lines of metallic silver adhesive detail and three black faux buttons made in the Starfleet style. The readouts activate when powered internally by two AA sized 1.5volt batteries. The item measures approx. 7 X 3 X 0.75 inches and is in actuality a temperature gage.
