miscellaneous productions, Space Ranger Laser Carbine
made from scratch movie prop weapon
I wanted to create a light-weight sci-fi 'assault weapon' and ended up designing & building this Laser Carbine. It features a mix of plastic, metal, and acrylic parts and fires a 5mw red laser. There are two sound effects onboard and I made a set of 'barrel extensions' just to vary the look of the carbine (the tubes are clear acrylic in different diameters and with different tips).
