Men in Black, Soil Analyzer

Men in Black (Columbia, 1997), Tommy Lee Jones (Agent K) Soil Analyzer. Original soil analyzer prop constructed of silver-toned metal with a button on the side that pops open the hinged opening when pushed. Multi-colored lights on the front lit up when used. There is 16-pin plug on the back that likely connected the piece to a power source/driver offscreen that ran the light animations. Measures approx. 6in x 2in x 1in. The analyzer has no seams on the main part of the body.

Agent K (Tommy Lee Jones) uses this prop when testing the soil where Edgar (Vincent DOnofrio) was killed and eaten by an alien insect who then inhabited his body. Displays production wear and age. The hinges are loose and the electric components are non-functioning. Obtained from The Comisar Collection. Comes with a COA from Heritage Auctions.
