Sherlock Holmes, Sherlock Holmes' (Robert Downey, Jr.) Screen Used Stunt Revolver
original movie prop weapon
A stunt pistol used by Sherlock (Robert Downey Jr.) in the 2009 movie Sherlock Holmes. This rubber gun was modeled after a Webley No. 5 "Express" Revolver and was used for any fast paced action sequences when it was too dangerous or cumbersome to use the hero version. Holmes’ hero weapon is seen throughout the movie, and a great example of when this version would have been used is in the scene that sees Holmes, Irene and Lord Blackwood battle on top of the incomplete Tower Bridge, and Holmes’ gun is flung from Irene’s hands. Made from rubber with an internal support, the prop has been painted a distressed silver to resemble tarnished metal with a dark brown grip, and is an incredibly detailed cast of the actual working version. The pistol comes presented in a great custom built display with laser cut mount board featuring the movie title and stills. The opening display measures 42cm x52cm (16.5" x 20.5"). Comes with a COA from the Prop Store of London.
