Pair of digital dog tags worn by Terra Nova security personnel. In addition to the usual personal information and blood type, these next-gen tags also contain the bearer's full medical history with holographic display, and a locator beacon. Although unauthorized, some troops also hack into their tags and add pictures of loved ones, favorite music, and so on.

No one seems to be wearing dog tags in the first couple of series episodes. They suddenly appear on Lt. Washington after she is taken prisoner by the Sixers in episode What Remains, and become a key plot device two episodes later in Bylaw.
