I built this prop-replica from a Roddenberry kit. The upper and lower body parts, and the silver center plate, are made of cast resin. The flip-up antenna is photo-etched brass. According to Rodd.com's information this is a fully screen accurate replica. The kit is hollow, so I improvised my own set of electronics - the communicator issues a standard 'chirp' when the antenna is flipped open and the indicator lights in body flash for a few seconds, then shut off.
