Monsieur Beaucaire, Rudolph Valentino Plaque

A plaster plaque with a large bas-relief head of Valentino in costume from this film, signed by him and character actor Jean Del Val (1891 - 1975), incuse, dated June 1924. Valentino made two films shot at Paramount in Astoria, NY in the Summer of 1924; "BEAUCAIRE" was first, and while beginning to film "A SAINTED DEVIL", with Del Val, this plaque was produced. Del Val was an artist who most likley made the plaque while wating for A SAINTED DEVIL to commence and had Rudy sign it.
