original movie prop
Made in Berlin for the 1925 Ben-Hur MGM movie, and
then reused in different configurations in the 1959 remake,
and as well prior to that in the 1951 Quo Vadis MGM Roman epic.
Sold in the now famous 1970 MGM studio auction.
