Bicentennial Man, Robot power cell component

This is a component seen on the back of each robot, I assume it to be a battery cell with the colour showing if it is charged or depleted, mine is blue and others are red. The behind the scenes images here are from Dave Barkovitz's photostream on Flickr, they show these parts being finished and in place on a suit. The piece is resin which has been chromed.
