In second season episode Vendetta, someone from Artie's past involvement with Soviet-era Russia is committing murder by using artifacts Artie had previously traded to save Russian Jewish refugees.  Blowing toward someone across this piece of driftwood from the Titanic induces an instant freezing cold, leading to rapid hypothermia and death. The only way to reverse the process once initiated is to have the victim hold onto the board tightly, which saves H.G. Wells from a frosty demise later in the episode.
