Back To The Future, Prop - Brown Mansion Destroyed' Newspaper Cutting
original movie prop
A "Brown Mansion Destroyed" newspaper from Robert Zemeckis's 1985 classic sci-fi comedy, Back to the Future. In the movie, a young man (Michael J. Fox) is accidentally sent 30 years into the past in a time-traveling DeLorean invented by his friend, Dr. Emmett Brown (Christopher Lloyd), and must make sure his high-school-age parents unite in order to save his own existence.
Newspaper clippings about the house's destruction are seen displayed in Doc Brown's garage during the film's opening credits. The clipping's headline reads "Brown Mansion Destroyed" and features a photo of firefighters standing before a pile of burnt rubble. The clipping is noted as being from the Hill Valley Telegraph and is dated August 2, 1962. Made for the production of the film, this clipping was likely used to decorate the queue for the Back to the Future ride in Universal Studio. The piece has been aged and distressed for production and shows minor signs of wear, such as pinholes at the top corners from display, but the clipping remains in very good overall condition.
