Star Trek: The Original Series, Production Memo - 'The Apple' - Bob Justman to Gene Coon
original production material
This is a production memo from the Star Trek: The Original Series episode 'The Apple'.
It is dated April 12, 1967, and is from Bob Justman to Gene Coon. Carbon copies went to Gene Roddenberry, D.C. Fontana, Ed Milkis, Matt Jeffries, Gregg Peters, and Bob Hellstrom.
The content is regarding the story outline for 'The Apple' by Max Ehrlich and expresses Bob's concerns regarding the episode - mainly that it is too much like 'Return of the Archons' and therefore needs "lots of dusky maidens running around mini-sarongs". He also suggests forgetting the whole thing. Brutally honest, this Bob Justman.
I acquired it some years ago on eBay.
It was originally part of a larger lot (#721) of memos and other papers sold through auction 32 of Profiles In History.
