Super Mario Bros., Princess Daisy's (Samantha Mathis) Hero Meteorite Pendant Necklace

A key prop, and reportedly one of only two made for the screen, this hero meteorite pendant on leather necklace from the 1993 Super Mario Bros. film is the missing piece needed to merge the parallel universe of Dinohattan with Earth, and consequently commence King Koopa's (Dennis Hopper) 65-million-years-in-the-making reptilian invasion.

This particular example saw use in the scene where Luigi (John Leguizamo) reaches out to try to rescue a kidnapped Princess Daisy (Samantha Mathis) from warping through a portal hidden in a rock face.

He manages to instead grab hold of the meteorite shard hanging from around her neck, forcing him and his brother, Mario (Bob Hoskins), to then chase after the princess into a worn-down underground realm where dino-denizens dwell.

The “rock” is in reality composed of clear resin, which was dyed blue and bedazzled with a glittery iridescent-type liquid during the mold injection process.
