Wallace And Gromit in A Close Shave, Preston's Dog Food
original movie prop
Wallace's whirlwind romance with the owner of the local wool shop puts his head in a spin; Gromit is framed for sheep-rustling in a fiendish criminal plot. From the 1995 Aardman film A Close Shave, this is one of the miniature cans of “Preston’s Dog Food”. Preston, a robotic dog designed to look after Wendolene’s sheep begins turning them into dog food instead. Wendolene gets upset and orders Preston to stop the sheep thefts. Instead, he locks her and Shaun up with the intention of turning her and the sheep into dog meat as well. Later, in the factory, Wallace, Wendoline, Gromit and the sheep are almost turned into dog food until Shaun comes to the rescue. Ironically, Preston ends up being minced himself as cogs, springs and pieces of metal.
