Warehouse 13, Philosopher's Stone

As created and used by Paracelsus in Warehouse 13's late fourth season, the Philosopher's Stone is capable of giving immortality (or removing it), but at a cost of several hundred tethered human lives for each activation. To induce its effect, the stone is placed in an ancient copper bowl artifact and heated until vapors and violet energy appear. The stone can also accentuate the bond between the Warehouse and its Caretaker.
