Star Trek: The Next Generation, Phaser (Static) from 'The Final Mission'

This was purchased through the Propworx Star Trek auction in August, 2009, and is from the collection of Doug Drexler. This is the phaser that was 'encased' in an organic looking mesh during the episode after being fired at an unusual forcefield. It is believed that this is the second 'Dummy' phaser from Star Trek III: The Search for Spock and had the handle wrapped by production for use in The Next Generation episode.
