This is absolutely genuine, and screen used, and not a reproduction or copy.
It comes with a signed certificate of authenticity from Studio-Props. We purchased this item directly from 20th Century Fox and have placed a copy of our receipt from Fox on the C.O.A. to prove it.
This set is in very good condition. There is fur under the arms and on the fanny.
This set consists of a jacket and a pants and a stretch jumpsuit. You will receive the exact items seen in these photos. The jacket has heavy leather gauntlets attached to the end of each sleeve. This is a foreground jacket because it has heavy molded rubber attached to the gauntlets that make them look like weapons. The trousers have knee armor plates attached.
It is made of an ingeniously sewn red fabric that has a gold pattern that looks like reptile scales. It is thick and heavy with round ribs that stretch a bit. It was obviously artfully hand made. These were designed by Colleen Atwood the Academy Award winner in 2003, 2006 and 2011 for best costume design.
These were used as ape armor, and show wear from their days on the battle field including some wear on the gauntlets. The knee armor is scuffed. It should be noted that this set of pants are unusual because they have velcro on the thighs.
The pants measure approx. 34" waist at rest, but they stretch, so ???.
and 29" inseam.
The Jacket measures approx. 20" pit to pit
and has a 24" long sleeve (from the pit to the end of the gauntlet).
Inside, you can still see where the name of an actor who wore these during filming, pants "Nick Reid", jacket we can not decipher.
