Jaws, Original black plastic barrel

Original black plastic barrel used as flotation in one of the barges used to transport the mechanical sharks to and from the location at sea during the 1974 making of JAWS on Martha's Vineyard. This barrel is never used on-screen but it is identical to the barrels on board the Orca, which were painted yellow and distressed by the paint crew of Universal Studios. Lynn Murphy purchased the item from Universal in Sept of 1974.
