This Studio Production coin was produced to promote the World Premiere of Rudolph Valentino’s film “The Eagle” on November 8th, 1925 at the Strand Theater in New York. These coins were given out to audience members at the Premiere. It is said that Valentino, in order to escape the crowds outside the theater, threw these coins from his car window to distract them.
