Scream 3, Original Screen Worn Roman's Hero Ghostface Costume
original movie costume
This is Roman's original screen used Ghostface costume from the final scene of Scream 3. This particular costume is one of a kind, as its the only Ghostface costume ever constructed with a metal snap button closure system in the front, rather than having the typical velcro. This costume was made with the metal snap buttons for two reasons. So that they had a costume that could be worn during excessive running scenes where the velcro costumes had trouble staying open. But it was mainly constructed for use during the scene when Sidney shoots Ghostface 5 times in the chest. They feared that the force of the squibs exploding would cause the chest to fly open and ruin the shot. So they used the costume with the snap buttons to ensure that did not happen. Costume was worn by a stuntman, and then worn by Scott Foley for the reveal scene and finale. Part of the finale was reshot, and this was NOT the costume used for the reshoots. The reshoots costume was used in just 3 shots. The rest of the finale costume shots are this costume. Costume was obtained in 2000 by the original stuntman who did the shooting stunt. Included were two hero masks, a call sheet, and a crew hat.
