The original production design art pictured here is not from the final version of the film, but from much earlier in the project’s development when it was known as “The Holy Grail” and was being produced by Dino De Laurentiis. Dino’s version of the film was never created. In 1981, producer Frank Marshall and director Steven Spielberg changed the name to Raiders of the Lost Ark.
