A hand-drawn Oogie Boogie concept sketch from Henry Selick's stop-motion fantasy film The Nightmare Before Christmas. Oogie Boogie's (Ken Page) minions Lock (Paul Reubens), Shock (Catherine O'Hara), and Barrel (Danny Elfman) kidnapped Santa Claus (Ed Ivory) on the night before Christmas. This hand-drawn concept sketch depicting Oogie Boogie rolling the dice on Santa's fate during his musical number is rendered in mixed media, including ink and graphite, on three-hold-punched illustration paper by the film's art director, Deane Taylor. The sketch is labelled "Seq 1301 Shot 16" and features notations in the bottom left and top right corners.
