National Treasure, Ocular Device

made from scratch movie prop

Possibly the most recognizable and most famous prop second only to the Declaration of Independence: the Ocular Device.

I built this Ocular Device Prop Replica in 2011, with some enhancements in 2012.(First was some glass with non-permanent stained-glass material applied, with some rather flimsy springs, then I replaced them both with true-color stained glass and loupe springs.)
