The Invisible, Nick Powell's Destroyed Blue Sweater
original movie costume
This item was used in the movie "The Invisible" in 2007. Nick Powell was played by Justin Chatwin in the movie. This item is a dark blue medium sized sweater with darker blue sleeves and collar. The sweater was altered for the filming in Canada because there are large holes in the front and sleeves of the sweater. There are some dirty spots and stains on the shirt from the added elements of filming.
You can see this shirt twice during the span of the movie, once during the beginning and once during the end of the film. This sweater plays a key role because at the beginning of the movie Annie beats Nick up and kicks him so hard that he stops breathing. Annie thought that Nick turned her into the police for robbing a jewelry store, so she takes out all of her anger on him. Later towards the end of the movie Nick finds his lifeless body in the town dam and the police arrive to take him to the hospital. Annie turned herself into the police and told them the location of Nick’s body. The sweater became very soiled from filming these scenes that required the use of dirt, fake blood, water, and the harsh Canadian winter weather and environment. This item was originally purchased through an Ebay auction and the COA is through Premiere Props. "How do you solve a murder when the victim is you?”
