Primal Fear, Murder Weapon

This is the actual Butcher Knife used by Aaron Stampler (Edward Norton) in order to stab an Archbishop 78 times in Primal Fear. The knife can be clearly seen in the film as prosecutor Janet Venable (Laura Linney) is making her case against Aaron in the murder trial and in the beginning when Aaron cuts of the Archbishop fingers. The knife is an authentic butcher knife with a metal blade, which is gruesomely covered in dried fake blood, that features a wooden handle with the name "Chicago Cutlery."

Edward Norton got an oscar-nomination for Best Actor in a Supporting Role.

I purchased this prop from propstore.com. It was supposed to come with the evidence bag as well, but sadly it had been lost in their facility.
