James Bond: Moonraker, Moonraker Laser Rifle

This is my James Bond Moonraker Laser Rifle replica. It is a near exact replica of the laser rifles seen in the James Bond spy epic Moonraker, due Canadian laws regarding replica firearms it has an orange tip in the barrel. In the film Hugo Drax a meglomaniacal industrialist builds obital shuttle craft for the US and UK governments. Tasked with locating the missing shuttles agent 007 discovers Hugo Drax might not be all he claims to be. Drax quickly comes up with a few schemes to eliminate Bond as he inches closer to his true intentions. Bond discovers a secret laboratory in Italy where a few of Drax's scientists have been working on a leathal pathogen. Secretly and unbeknownst to 007, Drax has been hijacking his own shuttles and stashing them away for a secret project. It is later revealed through a typical Bond villian monologue that Drax is hell bent on destroying the human race to rebuild earth with what he calls a super race.

The original prop was made from an Uzi Sub Machine Gun and common plumbing attachments. Unfortunately a common defect of this particular replica is that the rear sight of the rifle often cracks as it is made of porcelin.
