Knowing, Miniature Planet Earth

Miniature planet earth used in the 2009 Nicolas Cage thriller The Knowing. This little piece was made to form part of the solar system model inside John Koestler’s (Nicolas Cage) classroom early in the film.
Made from polystyrene and painted with the blue sea, green land and white ice caps it is a highly detailed hand made representation of the planet. It has a hole in the base where it would have attached to the model and has suffered a knock to one edge revealing the layer of primer below. Measures 4cm (1.5”) across.
