National Treasure, Meerschaum Pipe
replica movie prop
Found aboard a Colonial sailing ship frozen in the Arctic ice, an ornate Meerschaum pipe, depicting the crusading Knights Templar on the body and an inscribed scroll on the stem, provided the next clue to the location of the treasure of the Temple of Solomon:
The legend writ
the stain afffected
the key in Silence undetected
Fifty-five in iron pen
Mr Matlack cant offend
...which led both Ben Gates and rival Ian Howe to the National Archives.
The pipe body and scroll of this replica are made of aged ivory resin cast from a hand-carved master sculpt, with wood stem and resin mouthpiece. The stem can be inked and rolled to reveal the secret message.
The screen accurate pipe box is made of heavy stained wood, with aged cold cast brass plaque and inscription plate on the lid, brass hardware, and padded dark blue satin-lined interior.
