Hannibal, Mason Verger Makeup Reference Bust
original production material
A make-up reference bust of Mason Verger (Gary Oldman) made for Ridley Scott's 2001 thriller Hannibal. Having escaped custody in Silence of the Lambs, Hannibal Lecter (Anthony Hopkins) finds himself pursued by disgraced FBI Agent Clarice Starling (Julianne Moore) and hunted by one of his disfigured victims, Mason Verger. This plaster cast was created in order to visualize Mason Verger's gruesome face, following his unfortunate past encounter with Hannibal the Cannibal. Mason's bust has been painted to represent realistic skin tones to further help visualize the character. This piece shows some wear due to production use and age, including small breaks in the plaster, however it remains in overall good used condition. Dimensions: 11" x 13" x10" (28 cm x 33 cm x 25 cm)
Due to the material composition and age of certain pieces in the auction, many lots are delicate and should be handled with care. Certain lots will require specialist shipping and handling or collection in person to avoid risk of damage; Prop Store can recommend third party service providers. Please inquire in advance of bidding for additional information. Some lots contain mechanical or electrical components--all mechanisms are untested and their usage would likely result in damage to the effects pieces.
