Friday the 13th, Mario Kirner Collection: Pamela Voorhees (Nana Visitor) Locket
original movie prop
This lot is the locket that was thrown into the lake and used for underwater scenes.
It is made of lightweight resin and has been hand-painted on both sides in an intricate floral design to match the locket version used for close-up shots. Tied to the bail of the locket is an olive green cotton necklace string with velvet inlay. The item exhibits deliberately added production wear to reflect its age.
This lot comes from the Friday the 13th Props Museum collection of Mario Kirner. The Museum was created as a private collection that showcased not only Jasons iconic hockey mask, but also a number of other movie props, costumes and additional materials that were used during the production of the Friday the 13th movies.
An avid contributor in the screen-used prop and costume collecting field for more than 20 years, Mario Kirner has been a dedicated in his work and efforts to help to transform what was once a niche hobby into an popular culture phenomenon. Mario is not just a collector, but a true historian and curator of all things Jason Voorhees and Friday the 13th, also publishing a book dedicated to showcasing the museums content and their stories.
