Most viewers are not aware it\\\'s a model in the quick scene.

Custom built for the movie it is fully detailed on both sides and features working headlights along with a chassis-mounted fan meant to kick-up dust as it travels.

Astronauts in the rear are actually somewhat oversize Fonzie dolls!

Extensively cleaned with some sympathetic repair and restoration.
