The Witches of Eastwick, Maleficio Book

made from scratch movie prop

Prop replica of the Devil's book, made from a victorian photo album/music box. I created the title from a screenshot which was redrawn and printed to scale on self-adhesive paper. I then gilded the title by hand, aged it and stuck it to the cover of the book. I chose this method as it is easily reversible and I didn't want to damage an antique book by carving up the leather cover.

N.B: Finding an exact match to the prop used in the film took over a decade of searching!
