Prometheus, Light Up Display
original movie prop
One of my favorite props so far... a light up display from the Prometheus Spaceship. With a 9V batterie you can light up an internal light plate which looks really great when adding the (removable) acrylic glas.
If you wonder why it's not yellow on the top any more… there was a colored foil taped to the back like the red one (you can still see the splice there). So I think I will restore it soon to the original look.

Hey Snappy, I'll have to check that out. I do know that on either side of the door there are different styles of consoles. One side will have the white and yellow(like yours)and the other side is like mine. From memory, the consoles on the actual door are red and white, however they don't have their own light up box like ours. It's just the plastic face and the lights would have been installed into the door itself.

I just saw the BluRay and found out that my display can also be seen at the end when Elizabeth Shaw goes trough the crashed rescue ship with the axe in her hand. At that moment my display is "turned off" (without light) and perhaps that's the reason they removed the yellow section.

Hey, nice console! Yes mine does have a removable section that shows the acrylic plate underneath however most of it is glued down so I will leave it as is. I was looking at the film and agree that yours had a yellow section at the top. It may have been removed by the prop dept but it'd be easy enough to get a small sheet of yellow cellophane. It'll be interesting to see if the other consoles show up.
