The Lone Gunmen, Laptop screen used by Langly, Kimmy & Yves

original movie prop

Here is a screen used latop used by Kimmy (Jim Fyfe) in Episode 10 "Tango de los Pistoleros". Then used by Yves (Zuleikha Robinson) in episode 13. "All About Yves "

Here is some more info on the laptop from Dean Haglund (played Langly) himself, which was pretty cool of him to give more details:

"Yes, it was in the show, but often just the screen that was shot.

In fact, this was my personal mac given to by the vice president of Apple as a gift for coming to the release party for OS X ( X-files = OS X...get it?) and so i got drunk with the engineers and they told all about designing this machine. Then, I would bring it to set and the art dept would upload the graphics onto my machine so I could get a feel for the "hacking" that Langly was to do. When it came time to show some of us breaking in to whatever, they just used the G3. But I don't think that they covered up anything, except some of the logos sometimes.

So sadly there may not be a classic "product" shot of that laptop on set, but the close-ups were often that one.

Oh, and it was mine. I think that I wrote two screenplays on that, plus hand coded my first couple of websites. And I also invented the ChillPak with that thing as my R&D computer.  Check it out here www.comedyfilmnerds.com

And the Ramones sticker was handed to me personally from Johnny Ramone when I hosted the "Joey Ramone birthday party for Cancer" benefit. So that was cool.

I hope you enjoy my old laptop "

Sincerely
Dean Haglund
