Commander Kruge uses a tricorder of this design to locate Saavik, David, and the reborn Spock on the Genesis planet.

Resin with metal details and Klingon language decals. Releasing the dampened spring-loaded popup center display also activates multiple lighting effects front and back; green, red, and yellow LEDs on the display cycle rapidly in a checkerboard pattern dubbed the 'Klingon buzz' effect.
