Les Miserables, Javert\'s (Russell Crowe) stunt cavalry sabre
original movie prop
Javert\'s (Russell Crowe) stunt cavalry sabre from Tom Hooper\'s historical musical Les Misérables. Javert\'s sword was seen when he rode his horse.
The sword is made of rubber with a metal amature and is hand-painted to look like metal and leather, with a faux-gold handle. It is set into its scabbard and features an ornate lion-head pommel. Two metal loops along the scabbard allow it to be mounted to a saddle. The sword has some wear from production use and age, including scuffing and scratches. The faux-metal paint has faded slightly and there are imperfections in the rubber from the moulding process. Dimensions: 95 cm x 5 cm x 12 cm (37 1/2\" x 2\" x 4 3/4\")
